Events
- The USS Enterprise-C, responding to a distress call from a Klingon outpost Narendra III under attack by four Romulan Warbirds, is transported forward in time from 2344 to this year by a temporal rift. (TNG: "Yesterday's Enterprise", "Redemption, Part II") This information is not general knowledge to most Starfleet officers as the Enterprise-C's absence from the normal timeline created an alternate timeline where the Klingon Empire was on the brink of winning the war against the Federation. The Enterprise-C's return to 2344 restored the original timeline where the Enterprise-C was destroyed at Narendra III.
- In the The Unreliable's Light timeline:
- Johannah Jackson is recovered from the transporter buffer of the USS Excelsior and is beamed onto the Unreliable where she becomes a part of the crew. ("New Ewe On Deck")
- The Unreliable deals with something on Deneb V, which causes a dilithium misalignment within the ship. This causes the transwarp coil to send the ship and the crew to Hell. ("DownVall")
- The Unreliable assists in the integration of the USS Enterprise-B and its crew after it arrived into this timeline and jumped 50 years. ("1701-Back From The Dead")
- The Federation-Cardassian War:
- The Battle of Sector 21505 results in a decisive Federation victory over the Cardassian Union. (Star Trek: Lambda Paz)
- The Federation and the Cardassian Union sign the first of several peace treaties. Captain Edward Jellico is one of the principal negotiators. (TNG: "The Wounded", "Chain of Command, Part I")
- Captain Noah Wrightson's long term relationship with Alexander Santos ends after 14 years. (Star Trek: The Cantabrian Expeditions: "Isolation")
- December
- Stardate 43997: Captain Jean-Luc Picard is kidnapped by the Borg and transformed into Locutus and forced to lead an attack on Starfleet. (TNG: "The Best of Both Worlds, Part I" DS9: "Emissary")
- Stardate 43997: USS Chimera Launches from Deep Space Three to join the Admiral Hanson's Task Force assembling at Wolf 359. It replaced the USS Remington, which was damaged during a mapping mission in the Pinchot Expanse (Star Trek: Outpost: "Where Angels Fear to Tread")
