The Sky Is Falling is a complete Sonic the Hedgehog story which appeared in Issue 238 of Sonic the Comic Online.

Story
With the Death Carrier going down, Knuckles has retrieved the Chaos Emeralds and has loaded both them and Doctor Zachary's unconscious body onto an escape pod (though he lost sight of Robotnik). Tails, meanwhile, can only watch from the Bi-plane as Shadow and Super Sonic violently clash, their battle ripping the ship apart even more. Shadow is continuing to lose power, but remains confident, until Super blasts him, the resulting explosion convincing Knuckles to finally launch the escape pod. As the Death Carrier plunges towards the ocean, Tails proceeds to divebomb the burning ship, just as Sonic reverts back to his normal state. Before Shadow can try to finish Sonic off, Robotnik appears wielding some sort of bazooka, and does even more damage. As Tails retrieves Sonic and the Death Carrier begins to explode, Shadow makes an important decision and uses the last of his power to save Robotnik, sacrificing himself in the process. He bids his former friend farewell as the Death Carrier explodes and Sonic and Tails fly away. A week later, the Emeralds have been returned to the Floating Island, and the heroes reflect on what has happened. Knuckles hasn't got any information from Zachary yet, and wants to know how Sonic ultimately did stop The Syndicate. Sonic puts on a brave face, but is clearly troubled by the bad decisions he has made to win the day....
