Tall Tails is a complete Sonic's World story in Issue 118 of Sonic the Comic.

Story
Tails is out shopping for a Christmas tree but isn't having much success. He is certain he wants a real tree after he witnesses a "quality" handmade one fall apart, but the fox isn't sure it's right to cut them down. Fortunately, a scientist has come up with a special formula to re-grow trees instantly. She gives Tails a demonstration, spraying a stump with the solution until it turns into a fully-grown replica in seconds. Somehow, Doctor Robotnik learns of this creation and sends a pair of Badniks to steal their formula. However, in their haste to get rid of Tails, the robots shoot at the formula and it covers the hero. The scientist assures him that it won't affect him, but takes her words back when Tails grows massively.
At this size, he easily manages to swat the Badniks and free the Flickies inside, but the clumsy fox stumbles and crashes his foot straight through somebody's house. Realising he's a danger to the public, Tails decides to fly away, but the spinning of his tails cause a hurricane that sweeps the locals into the air. Fortunately, the giant Tails catches them in his large hands. The hurricane has summoned storm clouds, but Tails shelters the public from the rain. The water has an adverse effect, shrinking Tails to his normal size. Unfortunately, the trees have also turned back into stumps. Later, Sonic the Hedgehog is disappointed when Tails comes home with one of the rubbish handmade trees. Tails is keen to correct Sonic when he states he'll "grow" to like it.
Trivia
- One of the citizens standing behind Tails in the first panel is dressed like an early-day Robotnik.
- Splashes of the solution also landed on the grass, but the blades did not grow.
- It is unknown how Robotnik found out about the solution within seconds of Tails learning of it, although the bio-chemist had used it previously.
- The formula works differently depending on what it is sprayed on; since Tails simply grew to a larger version of himself, it would seem likely that a sprayed tree stump should simply turn into a larger stump.
- Tails received no punishment for destroying much of the Zone he was in.
- The "next issue" suggests that Tails will be the one "going crackers". It is actually Basil Poultry.
