Shanazar is a complete Sonic the Hedgehog story which appeared in Issue 149 of Sonic the Comic.

Story
In the capital city of Shanazar, the people are surprised and annoyed by the sudden appearance of Sonic the Hedgehog in the sky. Upon learning that the people have already encountered Grimer and Nack the Weasel, Sonic tries asking where they went, but is ordered to explain how he came to Shanazar. Sonic reveals that he found another transportation belt in Nack's backpack, but the people don't believe him and he is immediately confronted by the city's Imperial Guards. He is able to fend them off, but one of the guards calls for backup, in the form of the wizened Fajar and his genie. The genie zaps Sonic into unconsciousness and when he finally wakes up, he finds himself in the palace's dungeon with Nack and Grimer, the belt gone. Grimer reveals that the new grand vizier wishes to see them, and he is an off-worlder too. Both Grimer and Sonic believe him to be Dr Robotnik, and they are soon brought before the grand vizier. To Sonic's joy, the grand vizier, miraculously, is Doctor Ovi Kintobor. Before Grimer and Nack can make sense of what's happened to turn Robotnik back into Kintobor, they are ordered back to the dungeons: Sonic and Kintobor have a lot of catching up to do.
