Mr Spindle is an employee of Hundred & Spindle and may be one of the owners. He presumably has worked as a debt collector for some time and has grown used to the constant complaints from his clients. Spindle, as the name suggests, is an unassuming man but receives protection from teammate Number 47.
History
As part of a busy day, Mr Spindle visited the Floating Island with the intention of repossessing it. Believing Knuckles the Echidna to be Vector the Crocodile (since the crocodile mortgaged the island in secret), Spindle served the guardian with notice of failure to repay debt installments. Spindle nonchantly introduced Knuckles to Number 47 and detailed what was going to happen with the repossession. After disposing of Knuckles, Spindle was then forced to talk with Sonic the Hedgehog and the Chaotix Crew, but once again allowed his monster friend to handle the explanations.
Spindle was later left dismayed when Sonic activated a Portal Ring in front of Number 47's mouth, losing months of collected planets, moons and stars. After doing business with the heroes, Spindle reluctantly handed back the Floating Island in exchange for all his other property. The debt collector was due to oversee collection of Planet Calixfinitze, the Jungle of Quouo and Slough County Council but was forced to supervise the retrieval of his company's assets.
