"Ichneumon" is a username used by someone on Mobius to access The Internet. The mysterious person was identified as the one who maintains the Shadow the Hedgehog security program in the Mad Matrix Zone. "Shadow" is fiercely protective of his user and warned Espio the Chameleon not to harm him.
Etymology
- In medieval bestiaries, an ichneumon (Greek for "tracker") was a mongoose-like creature known as the enemy of the dragon (or drakon).
