Hawk

Hawk

Hawk was a corrupt police officer turned drug trafficker in the Streets of Rage series in Sonic the Comic. At one point in time, Hawk was busted for corruption by his partner in the force, Max Hatchet) (who seemingly avoided retribution, unlike colleague Axel Stone), and was thrown out of the police service. Avoiding prison, Hawk fled to South America where his contacts there had Hawk set up in the drugs industry. On his return to The City, Hawk began a multi-million pound drug business in The Safe House and bought a luxury apartment complex in which to live and practice combat techniques.

Hawk was first seen disposing of his exercise targets before getting a telephone call from Captain Wyndam, advising Hawk that troublesome officers Max and Blaze Fielding had resigned from the police force. Despite making things "personal", Hawk did nothing about this news until Max took a bazooka to The Safe House and destroyed, wiping out millions of dollars worth of goods. Now furious, Hawk sent four of his best ninja assassins to capture Max. Put to sleep by a tainted dart, Max woke up in a foundry while Hawk pointed a gun at his face. Instead of killing him right away, Hawk took pleasure in teasing his old partner and stated that his friend Axel would soon be dead as well. Upon the subsequent capture of Blaze, Hawk slapped her hard across the page for talking to him and was about to shoot her when Axel arrived and caused a diversion.

Noticing that Max had escaped from his bindings, Hawk pulled from two henchmen from the fight to help him search for the vigilante. Hiding up on a detachable weight, Max appeared and killed the lackeys, leaving the fight between the old friends. Thanks to his persistent exercise, Hawk fared well in combat without his gun, utilising a hook and an iron bar to make things hard for Max. When an incendiary bomb struck the building, Hawk survived and even persisted when a fall from a great height damaged his back. Preparing to finish Max off once and for all, Hawk wasn't prepared when Max lifted the boulder restricting his movement and kicked Hawk into the molten slag, killing him.

Trivia

  • Hawk's real name was never given. The alias was given thanks to his pet hawk, although the bird only made one appearance.
