Garry Penn was a member of staff at Sonic the Comic, mainly acting as a "Newshound". This role saw him preside over the News Zone for an unknown period of time; he was first mentioned as a reporter in Issue 18 but wasn't officially credited until Issue 24, where his name appeared in the Control Zone. Issue 29 saw his name start to actually appear on his own feature, lasting until his final issue in Issue 40. Penn was replaced by Chris Jones, a future Review Zone stalwart, although the feature only lasted regularly for a few more issues.
