Elephants are large mammals on Planet Earth and Mobius. They are easily recognisable by their large size, tusks and long trunk. A saying also states that "elephants never forget". They seem to have no natural predators once they reach an adult form.
Elephants in Sonic the Comic
Elephants have appeared sparingly in Sonic the Comic and Sonic the Comic Online:
- Ekkletos is the spiritual leader of the Tantaror and appears to take on the appearance of a stylised elephant.
- Cedric the Elephant is a possible member of the Freedom Fighters. Complete Story "The Elephant in the Room" suggested that the hero was behind most of Sonic the Hedgehog's biggest decisions but isn't acknowledged by the people of Mobius.
- Dunzi is the leader of the Household Keepers. Since the attack on the Hill Top Zone's High Academy by Rouge the Bat, Dunzi has devoted all her time to capturing the criminal.
- Mammoths are an extinct species of elephant, with at least one "living" in Ghost World.
