The Death Train is the main mode of transport in the Underworld that serves platforms in the netherworld, Hell and Milton Keynes, as well as elevators arriving from the residences of dead people. It is run by Max D. Cap, who ferries the dead to the afterlife.
The train itself is menacing, sporting a grotesque face on the front. The mouth has crooked teeth with a mouth full of fire. Two exhaust pipes that spurt out fire appear to look like horns. Above the 'eyes' is a trident marking.
History
The Death Train had been used on a number of occasions to bring the dead to their final resting place (and, on one occasion, accidentally summoning the Middlesbrough football team). The train was again called upon when Chuck D. Head, Igor and Professor Frank N. Stein were accidentally sent to Hell. The train met them at the platform and began to carry them to an eternity of torment, despite the protests of the living. Stein demanded to see the one in charge, dismayed to discover that it was Max D. Cap. After a few minutes of negotiating (including Rupert trying to forge their names on the dead list), a fighr breaks out between Chuck and Max, leading to many of the train's passengers getting accidentally torched by the demon. At the end of the train, Chuck prepared to face his end but noticed an 'emergency stop' lever. Before he could pull it, the train arrived in Hell and shipped the passengers back onto the platform.
