Carrots are root vegetables that are grown on both Planet Earth and Mobius. They have appeared in Sonic the Comic on a number of occasions:
- In the world of Pirate S.T.C., the act of Flame striking Granee 8 Ball with a space hopper led to the creation of pigs that could shoot carrots from their mouth. They quickly overwhelmed Flame and stuffed his mouth and ears with carrots.
- Carrots are often used as the nose of a snowman. When Chuck D. Head was forced out of Castle Frank N. Stein by Head, he returned with a snowman's head as a replacement. However, when its nose fell off from the heat, Professor Frank N. Stein offered his help. Igor, instead, insisted they were more in need of a greengrocer.
- The Veg-Heads, an army of mutated vegetables from the Plowright Zone, included carrots in their ranks. However, none of them had any speaking parts.
- Frank N. Stein attempted to turn carrots and other vegetables into gigantic sources of food to end world hunger. Unfortunately, biting into a carrot led Chuck to believe that they would die first of food poisoning. This eventually led to the creation of the The Maltese Budgies.
- In Spooked, the residents of the Old Hill Zone attempted to keep vampires away by hanging carrots around their doorway. The actual food should have been garlic, but that was deemed too expensive.
- The Green Gremlin, just one alter-ego of Villin Othawick, uses carrot bombs to attack the Emerald Hill Zone police.
