Bubble bath is a chemical solution that creates soap bubbles when added to water. They are amusing to children, yet can also protect the modesty of adults that do not wish to expose themselves when bathing.
History
In Sonic the Comic, bubble bath was a fairly important plot point of the Pirate S.T.C. story. The woodland area of the "game" contained creatures that would turn into bubble bath containers when struck by something. Unfortunately, bubble bath was the favourite tipple of Granee 8 Ball and the villain would often cause this situation by spitting balls at her foes. These 8-balls were conjured when Granee drank the woodland bubble bath, beginning a deadly spiral for the residents.
Having been dumped in this new world by Fezhead, Grrrr and Bob crash-landed on the creatures, turning two of them into containers. Granee drank one of them and began to fire balls at the fleeing critters. One of them successfully struck its target, but Bob, Grrrr and Dog the Chicken began blocking her attempts. They then turned the tables, opening the remaining two containers and fired the liquid at Granee.
At the end of one edition of the story, Skull spoke to Boomers and advised them against drinking bubble bath - "it tastes disgusting and slimey [sic]". He then went on to suggest drinking shampoo, something that attracted the ire of at least one reader.
