Ball Hogs are bipedal, pig-like Badniks created by Doctor Robotnik. It was among the first series of Badniks to be created and first appeared in Issue 1. They were taken directly from the Sonic the Hedgehog video game. Ball Hogs functioned primarily as sentries rather than attackers. They would throw small, bouncing bombs at enemies that would explode after a short period, although this behaviour was never actually witnessed in Sonic the Comic.
