"Every time you need something, Whythree-Ninenine." - ―Y3-99 and Jango Fett
Y3-99, or Whythree-Ninenine, was a droid who ran Y3-99's Bounty Services on the Outer Rim astronomical object Halmad. The droid provided bounties to a number of bounty hunters, including Jango Fett. When a group of thieves stole the artifact known as the Hope of Glee Anselm, Y3-99 informed Fett, among others, of the bounty on the thieves. However, as Y3-99 walked with Fett to the latter's starship, they found a number of the thieves attempting to destroy it. A firefight between Fett and the thieves ensued, during which Y3-99 was struck by a blast that shot off its head.[2]
