Xanwan

"You want immediacy and discretion. That's an expensive combo."
―Xanwan negotiates with Cassian Andor[3]

Xanwan, also known as Xan, was a human male who owned a transport business on Ferrix. He ran his business alongside the alien Granik.[3]

Xanwan was an associate of Cassian Andor, who called the freight kiosk after escaping from prison, hoping to leave a message for his mother. Xanwan was startled by Andor's sudden contact after not hearing from him for well over a month, and hesitantly informed him that his mother had died while he'd been away.[4]

Later, while talking with Nurchi at a bar, Xanwan drunkenly let slip that Andor knew about his mother's death and might be returning for her funeral—information which Nurchi promptly relayed to his handlers at the Imperial Security Bureau.[4]

During the Rix Road riot, Xanwan attacked a Stormtrooper from behind, grappling and attempting to wrestle them to the ground. In response, another trooper on a rooftop across the road fired at him, striking him between the ribs on his right side and killing him near-instantly.[2]

Personality and traits

Xanwan-Andor

Xanwan wore a brown jacket with an orange vest and hat. He had dark hair that was graying, including a beard. He had a gentle manner of speaking but was no pushover, and firmly resisted customers' attempts to haggle with him at the freight kiosk.[3]
