Tomy

Tomy Company is a Japanese toy company^[1] that makes licensed Star Wars collectible figures.^[2] In Japan, the company is known as Takara Tomy (タカラトミー), because it was established in 2006 through the merger of toy manufacturers Takara and Tomy. Even after the merger, the English trade name does not include Takara, but remains Tomy.^[1]

Tomy had a business partnership with Hasbro and imported their products, including Star Wars toys, to sell in Japan. Tomy sells a variety of original Star Wars products, including gacha toys, which is sold through its subsidiary T-ARTS Company, Ltd. (タカラトミーアーツ).
