Tom Kane

Tom Kane (born April 15, 1962)^[1] is a retired American voice actor who had worked on many Star Wars productions, including films, television, and video games. He often served as a voice double for Admiral Ackbar, C-3PO, and Yoda, previously voiced by Erik Bauersfeld, Anthony Daniels, and Frank Oz in the films. Most notably, he had multiple recurring roles in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series (2008–2020), not only voicing Yoda but also as the show's newsreel narrator and Admiral Yularen.

On December 30, 2020, Kane's daughter, Sam disclosed that her father had suffered a left-sided stroke in October that left him with right-sided weakness and damage to the speech center of his brain. Kane has been undergoing speech, occupational, and physical therapy as treatment for his injuries. However, he has been informed by his neurologists about concerns that he may have to retire from voice-overs.^[3]
