Sector 56 was a sector in the galaxy that contained a system.^[1] In 2 BBY,^[2] dissidents in that star system where threatening Imperial shipping. Grand Admiral Mitth'raw'nuruodo "Thrawn" defeated them in an engagement, and subsequently reported his success to Emperor Palpatine in the Imperial Palace on Coruscant.^[1]
