- "Okay. Here it goes. Cargo shuttle SW-0608 requesting a landing pad."
- ―Bodhi Rook
SW-0608 was a Zeta-class Heavy Cargo Shuttle stolen from the Galactic Empire by the Alliance to Restore the Republic and used by the squad Rogue One during the Battle of Scarif.[4]
History

Initially assigned to the Eadu Flight Station, it was stolen by Bodhi Rook. The reprogrammed KX-series security droid K-2SO assisted Rook to pilot SW-0608 during the rescue of Jyn Erso, Baze Malbus, Chirrut Îmwe, and Cassian Andor from the Research station and return them to the Rebel base on Yavin 4. Following Jyn's failed attempt to persuade the Rebel Alliance to attack Scarif and retrieve the Death Star plans, it was stolen again by Rook and K-2S0 to transport Erso & Andor's infiltration team to the surface of Scarif.[4]
The shuttle was destroyed during the Battle of Scarif by a shoretrooper who threw a grenade into the ship's hangar, killing Bodhi Rook.[4]
Behind the scenes
The significance of the designation SW-0608 was confirmed by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story screenwriter Chris Weitz when asked the question on Twitter. "SW" are the initials of Weitz's son Sebastian Weitz, whose birthday is the 8th June.[6]
