- "My son is dead because of you."
[Neeso punches Kalo Sulman]
"Neeso, don't. It won't bring Julus back."
"No, Dree—but it'll make me feel better." - ―Reeta and Neeso, after the latter punches Kalo Sulman
Reeta was a Rodian who lived during the High Republic Era. By 232 BBY, they lived on the Outer Rim planet Sedri Minor as part of a colony with their partner Neeso and the two's son, Julus. In 232 BBY, the colony began experiencing disappearances because of the Drengir—sentient carnivorous plants that fed on living things—and the colonists thought about contacting the Jedi Order for help but were prevented from doing by Speaker Kalo Sulman, who led the colony.
Eventually, Julus also went missing and his parents were unable to find him. When the Jedi visited Sedri Minor shortly after, Reeta and Neeso spoke with Jedi Knight Keeve Trennis about what had been happening on the planet. Sulman then took the pair back to the colony, where the speaker began attacking Neeso for what they had said to the Jedi despite Reeta's attempts to stop him.
After the Jedi learned the cause of the recent events and discovered Julus had died, they returned to question Sulman. When the Hutt Clan arrived to protect the colony, the Jedi and the Hutt forces began fighting each other. Meanwhile, Reeta, Neeso, and other members of the colony heatedly confronted the speaker, blaming him for what had been happening. Neeso punched Sulman and pinned Julus' death on him, though Reeta tried to dissuade their partner as it would not bring back their son. A rancor then destroyed the building, prompting the speaker to run away and leave the colonists behind.
Biography
Disappearances on Sedri Minor
- "We should've called the Jedi as soon as the disappearances began, but you wouldn't let us. Instead, you took our credits and beat us if we dared speak out."
- ―Neeso, to Kalo Sulman

Reeta was a Rodian individual who lived during the High Republic Era.[1] By 232 BBY,[3] Reeta—along with their Rodian partner Neeso, who called them Dree[2]—had a Rodian son named Julus. The three lived as part of a colony on Sedri Minor, a planet[1] located in the Galactic Frontier[4] within the Outer Rim.[5] The residents of the colony signed a contract with the Hutt Clan for protection in return for regular payments of the grain[2] known as Vratixia renanicus.[6]
In 232 BBY,[7] three members of the colony went missing,[1] having been captured by the Drengir[4]—sentient carnivorous plants that fed on all living things—that had infested the crops on Sedri Minor.[8] The colonists considered contacting the Jedi Order[1] on the Galactic Republic space station[8] Starlight Beacon[1] but were prevented from doing so by[2] the colony's leader, Speaker Kalo Sulman,[8] who took their credits and beat any that tried to speak out,[2] claiming the colony would deal with it themselves. This left Reeta feeling scared and that no one was doing anything to resolve the disappearances. At one point, Julus also went missing, and despite the efforts of Reeta and Neeso to find their missing son, the two parents were unable to locate him.[1]
Help arrives
- Neeso: "Our son Julus went missing just before you arrived."
- Keeve: "There have been others?'"
- Reeta: "Four now. Five if you include your friend. Some say the planet is cursed. First the crops fail, and then this…and no one will do anything."
- Keeve: "The Vratixian is failing?"
- Reeta: "Rotting in the fields."
- ―Neeso, Keeve Trennis, and Reeta discuss events on Sedri Minor[1]
That year,[3] the Jedi Order discovered a derelict Hutt ship carrying grain from the colony that had its crew slaughtered by the Nihil[1] pirates.[8] Afterward, Jedi Master Sskeer and the Kotabi[6] Jedi Knight[8] Ceret traveled to Sedri Minor to visit the colony. Shortly after their arrival, Ceret saw Julus in some crops and went to offer assistance to the Rodian[6] but was captured and infected by the Drengir,[9] causing[6] their[8] bond-twin Terec to scream out in pain,[6] having also been afflicted due to the twins' shared mind.[9] Jedi Master Avar Kriss and Jedi Knight Keeve Trennis then traveled with Terec to Sedri Minor.[1]

Reeta and Neeso prepared a samana spiced loaf for the Jedi as a way of helping and went to the Jedi[1] flagship[10] Ataraxia to give out the bread. When they arrived, they found that Bartol—a human boy who was a friend of Julus—and a Gran child had come up with the same idea, having offered Trennis a basket of bucco bread, which the Jedi Knight had taken. Reeta asked Trennis about[1] her[6] friend and she responded that she was sure the Force was with Terec and Ceret. Neeso then informed her about Julus' disappearance, noting that he was not the first to have gone missing. After Trennis inquired about the other disappearances, Reeta informed the Knight there had been four, not including Ceret, and recounted that there had been talk of the planet being cursed due to the crop failures and disappearances.[1]
Discovering the truth
- Keeve: "If children are vanishing like these people say—"
- Kalo: "These people are fantasists!'"
- Neeso: "But Kal—Julus is gone. We can't find him anywhere."
- Kalo: "I told you, Reeta. We'll deal with this ourselves. The Jedi don't need your food, and they certainly don't need your rumor-mongering."
- ―Keeve Trennis, Kalo Sulman, and Neeso[1]
Upon inquiry, Reeta told Trennis that their Vratixian was rotting in the fields and that they had not been allowed to contact Starlight Beacon for help. As Trennis questioned if the Hutts had prevented them from doing so, Speaker Sulman arrived and began speaking with the Knight. Trennis then informed Sulman and the Rodians of the Jedi's discovery of the Hutt ship that had its crew killed by the Nihil. In response, Reeta questioned if she was sure who had killed them, and the speaker further asked if the Knight thought the colony was involved. Trennis indicated that she felt the colony was uninvolved but noted that the ship had been carrying grain from Sedri Minor.[1]

When the Knight mentioned the disappearances, Sulman dismissed the concerns and claimed the residents of the colony were fantasists. Neeso rebutted that Julus had really gone missing and that they had been unable to find him. Ushering the colonists away from Trennis, the speaker told Reeta that, as he had said before, the colony would deal with the situation themselves, stating that the Jedi did not need their food or to hear their rumors.[1]
The Knight attempted to stop Sulman, but after mentally noting the colonists were all scared about what was happening, she left to investigate. Bartol joined Trennis and the two soon learned the truth about what had been happening on the planet: the Drengir had captured them. The boy recognized Julus being held alongside Ceret and when[1] he[8] asked why his friend was not moving, Trennis informed him that Julus was one with the Force, leaving the boy devastated about the loss of his friend.[1]
Confronting the speaker
- Reeta: "Please, Kal. We meant no harm."
- Neeso: "Uhnnn…"
- Kalo: "No harm? You blabbed to the Jedi, and now they're sticking their high-and-mighty noses where they don't belong."
- ―Reeta, Neeso, and Kalo Sulman[4]
After arriving back at the colony, Sulman began attacking Neeso and asked if the two Rodians were listening to him. Attempting to stop the speaker from attacking their partner further, Reeta pleaded that they meant no harm when they had spoken with the Jedi. Sulman refuted Reeta's words, saying that since they had "blabbed" to the Jedi, they were now involving themselves with business that was not theirs. The speaker then stated the pair knew the rules and how things worked, and that they would now pay the price for their actions. Before he could do anything further, the Jedi arrived to confront Sulman about the Drengir being on Sedri Minor, deducing it was why he had been so against their presence. As the Jedi spoke with the speaker, the Hutt Clan arrived at the colony with forces led by the Hutt[4] warlord Myarga Anjiliac Atirue.[8]

Sskeer attacked Myarga, leading to a battle between the Jedi and Hutt forces. While Trennis fought the Hutt forces, she told the colonists that she would not be able to hold them back and called for them to move. Ceret—who had been rescued—informed Trennis they would get the colonists clear and notified the colonists to go with them and used the Force to hold back a rancor blocking their path. This allowed the group to flee over to Sulman, where they found the speaker attempting to escape.[2]
Sulman claimed that he had a shuttle with free passage for anyone who desired to leave Sedri Minor, but Neeso instead grabbed him and criticized him for what had been happening, berating him for not allowing them to contact the Jedi, taking their credits, and beating them. After the Rodian punched Sulman and blamed him for their son's death, Reeta told their partner to stop as it would not bring Julus back. Although Neeso knew this, the Rodian responded that it felt good. When the building began to crumble as a rancor destroyed it, Sulman quickly made his escape and left the colonists behind, though he was grabbed by a Drengir not long afterward. Ultimately, the incident on Sedri Minor saw the Hutt forces and Jedi working together to fight the Drengir, who eventually retreated.[2]
Personality and traits
- "Looks like someone had the same idea."
"More bread?"
"A samana spiced loaf. We just wanted to help." - ―Neeso and Keeve Trennis, after Neeso and Reeta approach Trennis with food

Reeta had green skin and black eyes. As the disappearances on Sedri Minor were happening, Reeta was scared and felt that nothing was being done by anyone to help. When the Jedi arrived on the planet, Reeta and their partner Neeso offered them food as a way of helping.[1] Reeta was shocked when Speaker Kalo Sulman began attacking Neeso about the two speaking to the Jedi, and they pleaded with Sulman that they meant no harm by it.[4]
The Rodian tried to stop the speaker from attacking their partner but was unable to do so.[4] Later, Reeta was among the residents of the colony who furiously confronted Sulman about what had been happening, and when Neeso punched the speaker, Reeta asked them to stop as it would not bring back their son Julus.[2]
Equipment
Reeta wore a beige short-sleeved dress.[1]
