The Red City was city on the planet Quethold that was located to the south of the Dreaming Waters and was the seat of power of the Quesoth Queen of the Red. In 8 ABY, the alien warlord Nuso Esva traveled to the Red City and made a deal with the Queen whereby he would aide the Queen at overthrowing the Queen of the White, who was due to succeed the Queen of the Red as ruler of Quethold. Esva lured the Empire of the Hand into attacking the Red City and planned to defeat the Imperials and steal some Imperial juggernauts. However, the Imperials successfully captured the Red City and defeated Esva and the Quesoth.
