- "The Rang Clan put a price on your head so big, I'm lucky I found you first."
- ―Asajj Ventress, to Moregi
The Rang Clan,[2] sometimes referred to as the Rangs,[3] was a crime family[1] that was active during the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War. The Volpai Moregi embezzled from the group, leading the clan to place a hefty bounty on his head. His bounty was claimed by two bounty hunters, Asajj Ventress and Quinlan Vos.[2]
In 10 BBY,[4] the Rang Clan was a rival of Crimson Dawn and hired Kara Safwan to spy and gather intel on Crimson Dawn operations.[5] The Rang Clan was still active in 4 BBY[6] and placed a bounty on the pirate Hondo Ohnaka.[7] They later participated in an Auction for Han Solo.[8]
In 5 ABY,[9] Eleodie Maracavanya attempted to use a tractor beam on the captured Super Star Destroyer Annihilator to draw a ship belonging to the Rang Clan into one of its hangars, as Maracavanya wanted to add the ship to zher fleet. However, one of zher crew forgot to seal the breaching airlock and the Rang Clan was nearly able to destroy Maracavanya.[3]
