Description
Quantxi was a terrestrial moon which appeared red from above. It was covered in a vast junkyard.[4] It was one of at least three moons[5] which orbited the planet Ord Mantell,[2] located in the Bright Jewel system of the Bright Jewel sector of the Mid Rim.[1]
History
High Republic Era

During the High Republic Era, Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro brought some of his forces to Quantxi as part of a plot to lure Jedi and Galactic Republic forces into a trap in the system. He was confronted by members of the Junk Mavens, who did not want him on the moon as he brought conflict. When one Maven made a break for the comm tower, Ro sent Krix Kamerat to stop her as a way to have the boy prove his loyalty and worth. However, Kamerat was unable to stop the agile Maven from sending a distress signal, which was picked up by a starfighter force led by Jedi Grand Master Yoda which had just fought a skirmish with a pirate force sent out by Ro as a diversion.[4]
Galactic Civil War

The wreckage of Emperor Palpatine's yacht, the Imperialis, was located on Quantxi[2] after the ship was stolen and destroyed.[6] Also located with the Imperialis' wreckage were several excavator droids, which had been sent along with the ship to the desert world of Jakku as early as three years prior to the start of the Clone Wars.[2]
After the Emperor's death at the Battle of Endor, Imperial Grand Admiral Rae Sloane set out to obtain any information on the mysterious past of Imperial Fleet Admiral Gallius Rax, who, unbeknownst to her, was a native of Jakku who had stowed away aboard the Imperialis as a boy and came into direct contact with Palpatine. Sloane snuck away to the Imperial capital Coruscant and asked Grand Vizier Mas Amedda for information on Rax, who informed her of the whereabouts of both the droids and the ship. The grand admiral sent bounty hunter Mercurial Swift to Quantxi, where he had a slicer take a look at the droids and uncover Rax's homeworld: Jakku.[2]
Locations
During the High Republic Era, a communications tower was located on Quantxi.[4]
Inhabitants
During the High Republic Era, Quantxi was inhabited by the Junk Mavens, a group which contained members of an avian species who wished to stay out of galactic affairs.[4]
