- "Why are you walking like that?"
"A phillak hit me the other day. Now my ankle is making this weird clicking noise." - ―Two stormtroopers
Phillak were creatures native to the mountains of the planet Zeffo.
Biology and appearance
They had three sharp horns and a beak, which they could use to attack.[1] However, they had poor vision, meaning that it was difficult for phillak to change course to avoid crashing into obstacles.[2] Phillak were highly territorial and were prone to charge at any perceived threat without hesitation or regard for self-preservation.[3]
Behind the scenes
Phillak first appeared in the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, developed by Respawn Entertainment.[2] During development, inspiration was derived from two charging animals from Earth; a ram and a wild boar. Concept art for the phillak was done by Jean-Francois Rey.[3]
