A med-spike was a type of injectable medical capsule. Vel Sartha injected Karis Nemik with a med-spike after his chest was crushed by an unsecured load of credit ingots. The spike's contents kept Nemik conscious for a few minutes but were ultimately insufficient to save his life.^[1]
