Kotab was a planet that was one of the homeworlds of the sentient Kotabi bond-twins Ceret and Terec,[1] alongside the planet Sagamore where the twins originated from.[2]

Kotab was introduced via a mention in a StarWars.com article published on December 1, 2020 previewing the second issue of the 2021 comic series Star Wars: The High Republic,[1] the first appearance of Ceret and Terec.[3] The issue was released by Marvel Comics on February 3, 2021,[4] as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.[5] The article directly quoted comic author Cavan Scott regarding Kotab.[1]
