Ice gators were large light-blue lizards native to the planet of Dalna. They were the size of landspeeders and had sharp teeth and claws. They lived on polar ice caps and moved to warmer places during summer.[1] In 230 BBY,[2] Jedi Knights Vernestra Rwoh, Lyssa Votz, and Yacek Sparkburn attacked a group of ice gators who were clawing at metal in an attempt to attack the son of the Vice President Hackrack Bep.[1]
An entry on ice gators was included in "Species From A to Z," a survival compendium sent out by Carson Teva during the New Republic Era.[3]
Behind the scenes
Ice gators appeared in the 2022 novel, The High Republic: Mission to Disaster, written by Justina Ireland as part of The High Republic multimedia project. The gators are only pictured in the cover of the book.[1]
