- "Fine. But at least bring me back an ice cone. No, no, no. M-Make it two."
- ―Wrecker, to Hunter
Ice cones were a food served on Pabu island on the planet Pabu. They were edible by humans, served in a small bowl, and could be eaten with a spoon. Ice cones were a variety of colors, including white, blue, pink,[1] and red.[2] During a festival on Pabu[1] around 18 BBY,[3] the young clones Mox and Deke received ice cones from a vendor. Meanwhile, as the rogue clone squad Clone Force 99 prepared to leave Pabu, members Hunter and Crosshair went to fetch their rations while the clone Wrecker loaded gear onto their ship. As his companions departed, Wrecker requested that they bring him back an ice cone before quickly adding that he wanted two of them. However, an Imperial raid on Pabu interrupted the group's plans to depart.[1] Later that year,[3] after the children Jax, Sami, and Bayrn were rescued from Imperial custody on[2] the planet Wayland,[4] they were brought to Pabu, where they ate ice cones with Mox, Deke, fellow clone Stak, and the[2] girl[5] Lyana Hazard.[2]
Behind the scenes
Ice cones first appeared in "Point of No Return,"[1] the eleventh episode of the third season of the animated television series Star Wars: The Bad Batch. The episode premiered on April 3, 2024.[6] Concept art of Hazard and the young clone Omega at the festival holding ice cones was done by artist Molly Denmark.[7] In the real world, ice cones are a tropical dessert also known as shave ice.[8]
