The great gash was a scar in the landscape of the planet Lenahra. It was created by the crash of a starship long before[1] 41 BBY.[2] The survivors of the starship crash founded a civilization on the planet, and lived peacefully for some time. However, the survivors eventually dug into the area around the crash and discovered a cave where they could access the Power, the life force of Lenahra and its plants and animals. Abuse of the Power led to the civilization's downfall and death. A long time later, the Lenahrans, a group of colonists stranded on Lenahra during the Republic Era, also discovered the cave inside of the ground scar.[1]
