Plot summary
General Crix Madine receives a troubling report from Rebel operative "Tigress" about an Imperial project known as Death-Hunter. Despite concerns that Tigress may have been compromised, a team of Rebel agents is dispatched to investigate. Their first lead takes them to the Imperial shipyards on Jaemus where courier droid are stored, before they investigate a series of kidnappings on the planet Bescane.
They soon discover that Death-Hunter is a secret project developed by Moff Jesco Comark to forcefully modify individuals with elaborate cybernetics, transforming them into cyborgs with completely loyalty to the Galactic Empire. Comark's ultimate goal is to replace the Empire's reliance on bounty hunters with these enhanced soldiers.
The Rebel operatives, joined by Amber Comark—Moff Comark's daughter who assumed the identity of Tigress after the original spy was caught—embark on a mission to Zeta Zero Nine, the planet where the Death-Hunter project is headquartered. They manage to successfully free the imprisoned subjects and sabotage the project before retreating to their Rebel base.
