Candra was a Rebel Alliance operative. They were assassinated by the former Rebel Alliance sharpshooter Ma'w'shiye—who had deserted—using a gun[2] sometime between 4 ABY and 7 ABY.[1] Ma'w'shiye's assassination of Candra was later noted by the New Republic General Airen Cracken in the traitor's entry of the datafile Wanted by Cracken[2]—the initial version of which was published in 7 ABY.[1]

Behind the scenes

Candra was first mentioned in the "Wanted by Cracken" segment of the November 1994 fourth issue of West End Games' Star Wars Adventure Journal. The segment was authored by C. Robert Carey.[2]

The latter work is dated to three years after the Battle of Endor, and since The New Essential Chronology dates that conflict to 4 ABY, the placement of the sourcebook therefore translates to 7 ABY. Furthermore, the installment of "Wanted by Cracken" in Star Wars Adventure Journal 4 establishes Candra died after the Battle of Endor, meaning they died sometime between 4 ABY and 7 ABY.
