Calar

Calar was a Force-sensitive Setaran tracker who was a member of the Sacred Circle before converting to the Path of the Open Hand cult[2] in 382 BBY.[1] That year, he was assigned to join several other Path members led by prospector Radicaz Dobbs on a mission to the fabled Planet X to retrieve eggs of the Nameless species and bring them back to the Path compound on the planet Dalna so that they could be used against the Jedi. Dobbs and The Mother, the leader of the Path, hoped that Calar could use the Force to locate other eggs on the planet, using a shard of the egg that the Leveler, a Nameless under the Path's control, had hatched out of. The presence of a Force-sensitive on the mission disturbed Marda Ro, a true believer in the Path's mission of "freeing" the Force from use.[2]

However, as he and the other Path members traveled through The Veil around Planet X in Dobbs's starship the Scupper, Calar began to use his telepathy to convince the others to turn around go back and that they shouldn't be there. He warned that they all would die as glob like pieces of the Veil started to attack the ship before warning that the Force will be chained, consumed, and would die and that all would be consumed. Calar began to use the Force to draw the globules to them in the hopes that it would kill them so the galaxy would live. Having a vision, Calar warned that the Shrii Ka Rai, which he also called the 'Nameless Horror', would come for them all and that the storm shall rise and stars shall fall because they crossed the Veil, warning them that because of them the Force would die. Dobbs warned Calar to stop what he was doing as the Veil closed in, but when he refused to, Dobbs shot him, Calar chanting 'The Force will be chained' just before he died.[2]
