Birage was a small city located on the moon of the planet Arli. The settlement was composed of buildings constructed from sandcrete that were clustered in seven neighborhoods around a central square, also including a spaceport. Jordanna and Harth Sparkburn, who resided in a manor of the San Tekka family near Birage, attended school in the city and often visited it in their childhood. After Arli's moon fell into the Occlusion Zone territory of the Nihil marauders, Jordanna visited Birage with Cair San Tekka, another relative, and the pair rescued the city's inhabitants from a blight that was slowly overtaking the entire moon.[1]
