Vilna is a planet in the Milky Way galaxy has a Stargate. Vilna is a small planet whose technical progress had stalled Nirrti the pre-industrial level. Its population was a pool of personnel who Nirrti would extract and transfer to other planets for her experiments.
Vilna's population live relatively peaceful lives dominated by work their fields and a tribute to their goddess. Technology beyond a certain level is prohibited, and all unions must be approved by the goddess but other than that people generally left to their own devices. When Nirrti becomes imprisoned by Cronus, then Vilna fell into the hands of Cronus, who was killed before he had a chance to really assert it. Left to their own devices, people continued more or less as they always had confidence that their goddess would one day return. The people on the planet comes from Lithuania.
