Vancouver is a city in Western Canada, Earth.
History
Dr. Rodney McKay's sister, Jeannie Miller and her family live in a house in Vancouver. (SGA: "Miller's Crossing")
Vancouver is also the home of the Vancouver Canucks hockey team. In 2002, when asked by Colonel Jack O'Neill who he believed would win the Stanley Cup, Teal'c remarked that he favored the "Canucks of Vancouver", stating that they were "superior warriors". (SG1: "The Other Guys")

Stargate SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis is filmed in and around the Vancouver area, including Bridge Studios, where many sets including Stargate Command and Atlantis are filmed. Also many of the cast and crew, including Michael Shanks, Paul McGillion and Amanda Tapping, reside in Vancouver.
