Torren was the husband of Tagan and the father of Teyla Emmagan. Teyla named her son after him.
Biography
Background information
He was culled sometime when Teyla was young. Teyla sensed the Wraith coming that night with what Torren had always told her was a gift. Its indicated that Torren knew of the truth, or at least what the Athosians knew of it, of his daughter's abilities as he asked Charin to never tell Teyla about The Taken. (SGA: "The Gift", "Doppelganger")
Torren had often told stories of creatures such as the Iratus bug. Teyla had thought he was just trying to keep children from straying far from their camp. (SGA: "Thirty-Eight Minutes")
In 2007, Dr. Rodney McKay offered to perform the Athosian Memorial Tea ceremony with Teyla for the anniversary of her father's death. (SGA: "Tao of Rodney")
