SimCity was a popular video game of Earth. When discussing Novus, Eli Wallace wanted to know more about how they developed to which Chloe Armstrong said, "You played a lot of SimCity as a kid, didn't you?" Eli responded by saying, "Actually, this is more like SimEarth." SimEarth was a spinoff of SimCity. (SGU: "Common Descent")
