He was a former Genii spy and a member of Ford's Coalition. He was sent by Aiden Ford to capture Lt. Colonel John Sheppard's team. Later, he went with the other Coalition members and Sheppard, Teyla Emmagan, and Ronon Dex on a mission to infiltrate and destroy a Hive ship. The team was captured twice and ran out of the Wraith enzyme. Kanayo died from the withdrawal that followed. (SGA: "The Lost Boys", "The Hive")
