He was assigned to investigate a cult lead by Seth Fargough. He clashed with SG-1 when they began investigating the cult. He pointed out that the United States Air Force had no jurisdiction and he was in charge of the operation. Then, at the request of Colonel Jack O'Neill, the President contacted him and gave SG-1 command of the operation. He then assisted in the search for the secret underground passage. (SG1: "Seth")
