Airman 1st Class Atienza is a male Tau'ri and a member of the United States Air Force and a Security Forces Specialist who served at Icarus Base.

He and roughly 80 people were forced to evacuate Icarus Base during an attack against the base by three Lucian Alliance Ha'tak vessels. He ended up on the Destiny, an Ancient spaceship located several billion light years from Earth. (SGU: "Air, Part 1")
He installed one of refilled CO2 scrubbers back in place (SGU: "Air, Part 3").
A day after arriving on the ship, he was present in the observation deck with other crew members, who wanted to know what Eli Wallace knew, as Colonel Everett Young and Dr. Nicholas Rush trusted him. He later worked with MSgt. Ronald Greer to arrange supplies for an Ancient shuttle to evacuate 17 people. (SGU: "Darkness", "Light")
He was in Sgt. Spencer's quarters when they found Spencer dead. (SGU: "Justice")

He entered a stasis pod for the trip to the next galaxy. (SGU: "Gauntlet")
Alternate timelines
- In an alternate timeline, he chose to return to Earth, but like everyone else except for Colonel David Telford, didn't make it and was presumed dead. However, he ended up on a planet that he and other survivors called Novus, 2,000 years in the past. (SGU: "Twin Destinies", "Common Descent")
