Uranium is the heaviest naturally-occurring element and is radioactive.
A valuable substance, it is mined by terrans.[1]
Uranium-238

Uranium-238 is the most common isotope of uranium found in nature. Depleted U-238 was used by terrans to create ammunition. The C-14 rifle fired U-238 the spikes/shells that increased range[2] by up to 25%.[3][4] The P-45 pistol could also fire U-238 rounds for greater range and penetration.[5]
U-238 rounds are referred to by the slang term "hot shots".[6]
