Starmaps are holographic three-dimensional maps of sectors and the planets and star systems within them. Utilized by terrans, they are easily customizable. A tactical display is able to be superimposed over a starmap, displaying fleet movements within a sector.[1]
Game Effect
The StarCraft II campaign, Wings of Liberty was expected to have its own starmap[2], used to access missions.[3] It still does, but is scaled down from earlier versions. However, future expansions are expected to have galactic-level starmaps.[4]
