Kimera

The Kimera was a high-tech battlecruiser operated by the Kimeran Pirates. It was commanded by Captain Buzan.

It housed advanced technology such enabling point-to-point transport. It didn't require a fixed piece of technology to transport people onto and off the ship. However, the technology required accurate positioning information which came from transponders. If those were knocked off-line, the teleportation system could not be used.

The Kimera was also relatively stealthy. Captain Buzan was of the opinion that "nothing can track the Kimera."

After the Great War, the ship was tracked by cloaked Wraiths after a raid on a Confederate installation.

The Kimera only appears as NPC in Deception. It is represented by the Battlecruiser unit renamed in the game.
