Aldera is a city on Aiur. It is located near a mountain range, with a number of offshoot subcommunities.[1]
The Praetor Council took Fenix and Artanis there as younglings. Both ignited their first psionic blades there. After the Kalath Intercession, Aldera's Judicator suggested Praetor Fenix leave when hostilities broke out between the Templar and the population of Aiur. Fenix refused, and was fired upon by his fellow templar.[2]
It was destroyed in the zerg invasion. Fenix vowed to build a better version on top of it.[3][4]
After the End War, the protoss began the process of reconstructing Aldera, rebuilding its core city with drones, wardens and probes. Large parts of the population were set up in temporary housing in the outskirts of the city. However, without the Khala, many of its Khalai residents were lost in a haze of their own despair, often ignoring the pain of others around them.[1]
