Road to Pripyat

The subject of this article appears in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Degtyarev: Can you lead me to Pripyat?
Pilot: Pripyat? No. There's enough demand for my current route that I don't have to look for another. But I have a good buddy who used to work at the Jupiter plant. He told me there are tunnels underneath the plant that lead to Pripyat. He didn't have any details, but he said he'd start looking in the plant's administrative section.

― Pilot telling Major Degtyarev about the underpass

Road to Pripyat is a main mission in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Description

This mission is started automatically upon completing the missions Stingray 1: investigate the crash site and Stingray 3: investigate the crash site. After decrypting the Black Box and recovering the data about the evacuation points, the player now has enough intel to know that the survivors of Operation Fairway have headed for evacuation point B28 in Pripyat.

The first step of the mission is to simply ask Pilot about a way to Pripyat. Pilot will respond that he's not interested in looking for a route to Pripyat as he already has his hands full with his current route, but tells the Major to look into the Jupiter plant for possible data about a potential underpass that leads to Pripyat.

The map marker will point towards a building in the Jupiter factory. There are a few Blind dogs lurking around the factory, so the player should come prepared, but there are no significant threats otherwise. Upstairs, on the second floor of building 2 just left to the factory entrance, the player can find the Folder with the order. Use the nearby skywalk to travel to the narrow building just south of the administrative section where the first documents were found to find another document, the Notebook Sheet. Further to the east of the factory, in building 4 at the ground floor (near where the mission Last developments takes place), the player will find the Delivery schedule on a table near a Gas anomaly. The fourth document, Letter concerning deliveries of item 62, is found inside the factory proper, just near the Stingray 4 crash site, guarded by a pair of Psy dogs (unless the mutants were dealt with before).

The map marker will then point the player towards a building just by the entrance of the main building entrance. In that building is the first of the three main documents that need to be found, the Underpass Schematics, which prove that there is indeed a road to Pripyat below the plant. Further inside the main factory building, the player needs to grab the Documents with notes which shows that the underpass was sealed and filled with deadly gas following its decommissioning. The final document, Duty Shift Log, is found further inside the factory, past the Stingray 4 crash site, near a non-functioning elevator to the Pripyat 1 underpass.

Upon grabbing this final document, the player is advised to give the relevant schematics and documents to Nitro. Upon giving him the documents, the mission ends and the next mission, Pripyat 1, starts.

Reward

The four optional documents (the first four that are found during the mission) can all be sold to either Shulga, Loki or Owl. The former two will pay 500 RU per document for a total of 2000, while the latter will pay 750 RU per document for a total of 3000, making Owl's offer more reasonable. Regardless of whom the documents were sold to, it contributes towards getting the Trafficker of Information achievement.

Notes

  • Only the last three documents are actually necessary to complete the mission. The player can simply grab one of the three and the mission will automatically update to point the player towards the other two. The four other documents can be ignored and collected at any time after the mission was completed.
