"Quartet" (Ru. Квартет) was the commander of Operation Monolith in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. He was briefly seen in a flashback in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
Background
Commander of the military raid[non-game. 1]. He is a soldier who holds the rank of captain, using the callsign "Quartet" as revealed in the situation report for Operation Monolith and radio chatter heard in-game. His name is randomized. In a flashback during the events of Heart of Chornobyl it was revealed that he was killed by Strider during the battle.
Appearances
Shadow of Chernobyl
Quartet can be found to the southwest of the entrance to the Sarcophagus, in a command post accompanied by a functioning BTR-70 that will open fire on the player should they venture in its vicinity. Due to being away from most of the firefight, he is unlikely to get involved in combat against Monolith stalkers.
Provided he is alive, he can be heard communicating with the rest of his forces by radio throughout the operation. If the player kills him, they will hear a panicked communication from airborne unit "Grif" before all communications cease.
