Needle Buzzy is a Maxis-made cell present in Spore. It can be encountered in the Cell Stage at level 3.
It possesses the Jaw, Spike, Electric, and Flagella cell parts.
Initially appearing as a peer-sized cell, Needle Buzzy is an aggressive cell compared to its relative, Buzzy, as well Its electric power recharges twice as fast as it. At any difficulty, it flees from damage by other cells. Needle Buzzy has a unique part placement with Spike placed onto its Jaw, especially possessing the secret part variants of aforementioned Jaw and Electric.

- Needle Buzzy was originally called "Alpha-Buzzy" in the beta version of Spore.
- Needle Buzzy originally had a slightly different design before it was given its final 2008 design.
