Meat is a type of food in Spore franchise. It is the flesh of any creature meant for either carnivores or omnivores.
Spore
Cell Stage

Meat can be found randomly scattered across the stage like its herbivore's counterpart, plants, as well as any dead or killed cell can be burst into 3 meat chunks. It can be consumed by only cells that possess the Jaw part which upon consumption, grants them DNA points to progress through levels. Eating meat may also affect the trait meter towards the bottom Carnivore trait.
Creature Stage
Any corpse of the creature's meat can be consumed by carnivores or omnivores after killing or scavenging it until the corpse runs out of meat or rots over time. If a herbivore attempts to eat meat, it will instantly vomit it back up and receive no hunger benefit. The dead Epic creature harbors a far larger meat count than an average creature.
Tribal Stage
The meat of wild creatures can be harvested by carnivorous or omnivorous tribes. The class of the creature may affect the count of times it can be harvested: the average is 3, the baby is only 1, and Epic creatures harbor large amounts of meat.
Other stages
Meat becomes irrelevant in the Civilization Stage or Space Stage in a usable form. In a cosmetic sense, wild carnivores or omnivores may be encountered eating dead creatures in the Space Stage, while carnivorous/omnivorous tribes may have meat in their food piles.
Spore Galactic Adventures
In Spore Galactic Adventures, piles/bowls of meat can be put in as props for an adventure. Only the meat platter can be picked up by creatures.
