Description

003 PREHISTORIC SB

SpongeGar is more advanced than the primitive SpongeBob because he has developed clothes, a language system, domestication, and a curiosity for new discoveries, such as cooking food.

His pet snailPrehistoric Gary, was a lot larger than the present Gary raised by present SpongeBob. Prehistoric Gary was an ancestor of the normal Gary.

His best friend is Patar, who is one of Patrick Star's prehistoric ancestors. He is not the same as the primitive SpongeBob, as he came many years after. He is curious and smarter than primitive SpongeBob.

Like his descendant, SpongeGar is a sea sponge, but he is drawn to resemble a kitchen sponge. SpongeGar has large light blue eyes, a long, slightly curved nose, a large mouth with one buck tooth, two fang-like teeth, a unibrow, and dimples with three freckles on each cheek. He wears a brown animal skin with only a left sleeve. He also has hair showing from his feet and hands.

Personality

He was mistaken by SquogSquidward's prehistoric ancestor—to be dumb, but he was proven to be somewhat intelligent.

His personality is similar to that of the primitive SpongeBob, but they are not the same, as SpongeGar is more advanced and curious than him. He also shares SpongeBob's tendency to become easily excited, seen as he makes new discoveries over the course of the episode. He is shown to be as sentimental as SpongeBob; after he, Squog, and Patar argue over the fire before it is washed away, he and Patar are both saddened about it. They even more so are as they realize how important their friendship was, and hug to make up with each other.

Biography

Residence

Like his descendant, SpongeBob, he lives in a structure that is situated adjacent his neighbors in a line. Unlike a real pineapple, the house is a simple stone structure that serves as shelter similar a cavern. The floor is sand, the walls being their natural stone color with a scratchy illustration of SpongeGar chasing jellyfish with a net. Scattered about are small shells and bones. The house is minimally furnished, with only the mat SpongeGar uses as a bed and a shelf supporting a rock.

Due to living in an era before advanced technology, SpongeGar relies on dorudons to make roars with a powerful enough vibration to knock the rock off its shelf and onto himself as an alarm system.

Trivia

  • He uses a log filled with soap to blow bubbles, a nod to his present-day descendant.
