The Zipcaster is a Special Weapon that is available in Splatoon 3. It allows you to use a grappling-hook style technique to travel across spaces and attach to walls, and once its duration runs out, you return to the place you initiated it at, similar to Inkjet. You are able to use your main weapon while using this special. It is noted that you will not gain invincibility and can be splatted by enemy team.
Appearance
Its appearance changes based on species, but it appears that two tentacles wrap around the user's mouth, kind of like a mask while a third tentacle hangs loose as a sort of "scarf". The Inkling/Octoling kind of resembles a ninja.

Quotes
“ | Transform into an ink-cloaked acrobat, and sling your stretchy arm to zip around the battlefield! Use R to aim and stick to walls. You can still use your main weapon like normal with ZR. When your ink runs out, your transformation will end, and you'll Super Jump back to your starting location. | ” |

Trivia
- It is noted that when returning to the place you initiate your Zipcaster, you will do a roll in the air when returning to it unlike the Inkjet.
- Like the Inkjet, the Zipcaster has a Special Timer, like said, when the timer ends the Inkling/Octoling will Super Jump back to where the Zipcaster was activated.
- When you use the hook or use the main weapon, the Special Gauge drops faster than when you do nothing.
- The landing symbol of the Zipcaster is different from the one of the Inkjet.
